It felt so good.
It was 47 degrees outside.
I couldn't see my breath, but it was almost there.
Such a drastic difference from last time I ran....getting into the 100s during the day. Sweaty, sticky, and parched beyond belief by the time I'd get home.
Wienerschnitzel and Big O Tires were still there to greet me as I ran on by (very picturesque), the same guy on his bike and the same girl on her stilts (yes, some sort of funky, bouncy stilts) out walking.
The smell of horse poop and little piglets were still there as I ran down a neighborhood street (have I mentioned that I sort of live in a tiny un-incorporated country town, in the middle of the bigger "cities"? I see cowboys everyday in their big ol' trucks. I love it)
The scenery, the smells, the crisp weather, my music and running, made for a very good morning.

Good for you!!! Sounds awesome.
Way to go! What time do you go? I'm thinkin' it's EARLY! I'm really bad at that. Doesn't running make you feel studly? It's most lovely.
That's awesome about Tanner. Wow. What a guy. You can't get a bigger compliment than that.
Oh I'm so happy for you! Greg and I were really regular about running together one winter in Eugene, and the cold air kind of gives me that vibe to go run again, even though it was only one season- years ago. I'm jealous. I would be such a stick if I ran. The whole farm thing sounds so funny. Especially the way your neighborhood looks.
Running in the cold is the best. During High School if it was frosty out during PE, I would ask the teacher if I could run with one of my running friends, she always said yes because she knew I was honest. I loved it. love you!
If you keep up this running you're gonna be 6 ft tall- haha. I wonder if it's this running that has made you grow? That's cool you have been so athletic- I can't wait to start walking again. Especially now that it's cooler. It's so hard to work out in the hot weather. love you!
You ran this morning? And THEN came to body pump? All while you're coming down with something? What has come over you!?
Take good care of yourself Lizzie, you need to have strength to do all things. I am so happy for you and hope you can run for many years to come. I love the air of Fall it is so clean and crisp. Be careful out there. Hugs and Kisses
I read your post about Tanner. That is so sweet. He really is very special. He looks very happy in that picture. And that's so great that you love running! I wish I did. It sounds awesome. Love you!
I'm right there with you, Lizzie! I ran twice last week and it was the first time since Ragnar. It felt so good to finally be doing something!! Now I have to get the desire back to go to the gym. :) Good for you....
