Tanner's list

Tanner was very busy this morning.

Making this....

Dear Santa,
I want a robot for
Christmas to do the dishwasher
and set the table and do my
homework. from Tanner Lamm.

Chores have been a battle lately. He empties the dishwasher before school and sets the table for dinner.

He thinks he's a slave.

We have a 15 minutes discussions every single morning before he empties the dishwasher, about how "unfair" it is that he has to do the dishes.

And every single evening, before he sets the table.

It drives me nuts.

He apparently thinks he can just ask for a Robot and his chores will go away.

Kate though....she's a dream with chores. I ask one time, and she gets up and does it. She even helps Tanner with his without being asked. She is aMAZing with her chores.

BTW, Tanner is convinced that Santa can make anything. And that he will be getting a Robot for Christmas, as long as he's good. (And he's pretty confident that he's good. He's told me.)

That's so hilarious! Kate is such a sweetie. She would always make sure to compliment everyone's picture while we were coloring. Then we would color a bit more and she would do it again. I love her. :)

I have the exact same problem with Jaden and Madisen is a dream just like Kate....but what happened is that Madisen helped so much that Jaden got lazy so I have no told Madisen not to help because it became his crutch.

Funny boy, I wish I had a robot too, I would like to give up all my chores over to it, don't you think it would be a great idea. Then I could sew and paint and do exactly what I liked. Have you told him the story of the little red hen? That might make him think. He has lots of faith maybe you could read him some scriptures about work in the Bible and Book Of Morman. I love you and good luck with this one. Hugs and kisses

That is soooo funny! I always wanted a magic wand so I wouldn't have to do dishes! Jennifer and I would talk about that all the time. Then when Bewitched came out I wished I could twitch my nose. THANK YOU for posting those things. I think it is so funny about the fact that he thinks is "good". He is good, but it is funny anyway. love you!!

I LOVE it! How funny!!! My boys still complain about their chores, so I am afraid that they don't grow out of it when they are older :( But, I tell them now that if they keep complaining, then they will "earn" another job. A horrible one like cleaning all of the baseboards. It works wonders :)

I love this...my boys ask for magic wands and then cry when I say that there is no such thing as real magic wands. Last year they cried when I told them I couldn't get them pixie dust.
